Bathroom Blues, 2024

Every mom has their hiding spot. You know that spot you go to.. the one you disappear to when your kids or your partner is driving you crazy. Well mine happens to be the bathroom. Whether I’m sitting on the floor, the toilet or in the shower… the bathroom is my place to decompress all the emotions from the day or a moment I’m having with my kids. This mini series highlights mental health and snapshots the ups and downs of motherhood and depression. It consists of 7 mixed media sculptures that play on the idea of a bathroom sign and unlock different emotions in time.
